I am happy to answer any questions you may have, so please drop me an email. There are some frequently asked questions below so please feel free to have a look through these first.
Please use the contact form or email me directly. I will aim to get back to you as soon as possible with either a phone call or email to answer any questions you have and make a booking.
It is best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for ease of movement so I can assess your range of movement. You may wish to wear active/gym clothes. Avoid wearing any jewellery that may get in the way. For an effective soft tissue massage we will need to access the skin above the muscles that we will be working on. Therefore it is common that we will ask you to undress down to your underwear. We will use a towel to ensure that you are well covered at all times. If you have any concerns please make us aware as soon as possible. We want you to feel comfortable during your session.
Please be aware that some oil or wax residue from your massage treatment may remain on your skin afterward. We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing and avoid wearing delicate or light-coloured fabrics, as they may absorb oils and become stained.
The treatment room is located within our family home but it is a dedicated treatment room with frosted windows for your privacy. The entrance to the therapy room is located adjacent to the front door and you can keep all of your personal belongings with you at all times.
Parking: There is plenty of parking on the drive. Please feel free to park wherever you see fit, allowing for another car to pull on to the driveway (as this is our family home). We find it best to reverse onto the drive if possible as turning around once on the drive can be a little tight.
Access: There is a small step up from the drive into the house. Our treatment room is located on the ground floor. The massage table is fully adjustable so I can lower it to assist clients on and off the table.
Prevention is better than cure. During the initial assessment I may highlight something to you, about your own posture or movement pattern, that you were unaware of. Injuries do not appear from nowhere and I aim to iron out any imbalances before issues arise.
If you have niggles, aches or pains please get in contact I would love to help you.
If you are acutely injured this is outside of my field, however, if you get in contact I will be able to point you in the right direction of someone who can help you. After the initial, acute injury stage I will be able to support your recovery and rehabilitation.
I can not offer you massage therapy if you have a serious underlying health condition such as cancer or DVT. Please get in contact if you are unsure.
After a sports massage, it's common to feel relaxed and rejuvenated, with reduced muscle tension and improved circulation. You might also experience some soreness or mild discomfort in the areas that were worked on, similar to the feeling after a workout. Proper nutrition and hydration is very important, so eat and drink as if you have just been to the gym - your muscles will be in a similar recovery phase! I advise you to avoid intense workouts for at least 24 hours after a sports massage. If your muscles are not used to receiving regular sports massages then you may need to rest for longer and in time your body will adapt.
If you are in final preparations for a race or event please make me aware as this will change how you will be worked on to ensure peak performance.
If you experience any unusual side effects after your treatment please contact me or call 111 if you are concerned.
Payments for services can be made in cash or via bank transfer. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, the details for the transfer will be provided prior to your appointment. A treatment will not commence until your payment has been made.

I attended The Cotswold Academy where I earned my Level 3 ITEC Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy. I am currently studying to achieve my level 4 in Sports and Remedial Massage.
I am also a Pilates, yoga and Mindfulness instructor, delivering private sessions and group classes at a selection of local leisure centres and venues.
I am first aid trained and have full DBS check.
There are certain health conditions that it is not advised to receive a massage, such as haemophilia. Or when massage is not advised on a specific area of the body for example in an area where there are varicose veins.
If you have any questions or concerns about your health or the suitability of a sports massage for your specific condition, I encourage you to get in touch. I am happy to provide guidance and ensure you receive the appropriate care. In some cases you may need to seek advice from your GP to confirm that massage is not detrimental for your health condition.
If you have cold or flu symptoms please do not attend your appointment, contact me as soon as you can to reschedule. Receiving a massage when your body is fighting off an infection will make you feel more unwell.
Clients are welcome to bring a chaperone to their appointment if they feel more comfortable by doing so. Your comfort and peace of mind are my top priorities.
Under 18s always need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will need to remain in the treatment room with them at all times. I have a DBS check but a chaperone is still required to attend for clients under the age of 18.
